Welcome to Our Makerspace! The Maker Movement is a fairly new concept that is beginning to make major inroads into libraries. Students are provided with materials they might not ordinarily have access to, such as MagnaTiles, Legos, electronics, and a variety of art supplies (among others), and challenged to make something. Anything. Whatever they can imagine!
As you can imagine, Makerspace is highly engaging for our students! It easily pulls in concepts of math, science, art, and engineering, all under the umbrella of play! Woodland Heights would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Harrison and the Harrison Public School Foundation for their generous support of our Makerspace! |
